Chain Gang Events (Pty) Ltd, (us) are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. It describes the personal information that we collect, the purposes for which we use such information, your choices regarding our use of it, and the steps we take to protect your personal information and how you can review and correct your personal information. Our legal status under South African Protection of Personal Information Act (https://popia.co.za/) is that of a Responsible Party and in this capacity we will securely store and process your personal information which you have provided to us. Responsible Party is a legal term used in the Personal Information Act 2013 (the Act) to signify the person who controls what to do with any given personal information. As Responsible Party we will be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Collection of information
By accessing our Platform you agree that this Privacy Policy will apply. The personal information we collect from you may include:

- team/school name;
- email address;
- mobile number;
- address; and
- emergency contact information.
You are not required to provide any of this information, but if you do not, we may not be able to enter you to one of our events.

- share event related information with you;
- provide you with our services which you have signed up for;

- send out email alerts you may have signed up for;

With whom is your personal information shared?
We will disclose your personal information only to third party service providers whom you already have an existing relationship with as set out above.
We may disclose depersonalised data (such as aggregated statistics) about the users of our Platform in order to describe our sales, customers, traffic patterns and other Platform information to prospective partners, investors and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.
